@SkylerJames13 Sure, there should definitely be a sense of of accomplishment. I believe with the way the storyline is configured it has to ensure you are drafted higher. We'll relay this feedback to the team. I suppose you could always say the player was a top prospect in the world and despite some rough games, a team still took a shot on him as 1st overall.

That makes for the most boring experience ever. Not being able to play a full season in juniors to prove your worth it just feels like a cheap cop out. 
I don’t want to be picked first overall if I don’t deserve it. 

and I don’t want the team to add me to the NHL roster after preseason if I don’t deserve it either. I should be sent down to the juniors/ahl. If they even existed in that game mode
