NHL 22 Alumni Players
I am very disappointed with the paltry number of alumni players included with EA sports NHL series games since it started a couple of years ago. Many players are duplicated on various alumni teams. If ratings are changed for one of these players, the duplicate players inherit the ratings. Therefore, The number of distinct players included is far less than might be expected. Why not just create alumni players with no team affiliation at all? This way they could be added to any team anywhere in the game. There would be no duplicates. Why not have 1,000 alumni players or more? We certainly pay enough for this game. Are the rights to these players' identities really that impossible to get??
I find NHL 22 especially disappointing. Guy Lafleur has been removed from the game. One of the all-time best players in the NHL simply dropped. There are many other great players like Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Ken Dryden and Mike Bossy who have never been added. Another issue is that many alumni players bear little or no resemblance to the actual players. Guy Lafleur was an exception - he really did look like Guy Lafleur. Isn't it worth the time and effort to at least make these players look like the actual players did??
