please check if a trial version of NHL 22 for PS5 with a paid EA PLAY membership is currently available? Thanks
The trial is currently available, but only if you haven't used up all 10 hours. If the game is open in the background, the clock will still be running. When you're done, you have to completely exit out of it in order not to use up that time. Even if you turn off your console.

Have you even looked at our screenshots? It shows that we have time remaining in our trials and yet we can't play. How do you know the trial is currently available? Can you prove that the trial is still available? If you have an active EA Play subscription, can you post a picture of the trial button on the NHL 22 purchase page specifically on PS5? You should ask someone from the EA Play department or whatever and see if the trial is still active on PS5. I've seen numerous reports online that the trial is no longer working since the 15th (full release date) for PS5 specifically (don't know about PS4), I do know that those on XBOX have not been affected. Probably because EA Play is merged with gamepass or something. I know this must have been some unintended mistake but the fact that no one has fixed it or seems to care is a slap in the face to customers.

I always turned off the game consistently so that I didn't run out of game time. It correctly shows me that I still have 8h and 41m trial version of NHL 22 left, but it can't be run because someone removed it from EA Play on PS5. It works normally on the PS4. On PS5 in EA Play I only see FIFA 22 (for which I have already used up 10 hours) and Madden 22 (I did not try, it offers a trial version download. NHL 22 on PS5 in EA Play has been removed, please correct it. Take a look at the picture in the attachment .

Why can't I see the NHL 22 trial offer in this picture from the store on the PS5?

Hello, everyone. This issue is currently being investigated. We'd like to gather a couple of details from you all:
- Console you're playing on (PS4 or PS5)
- PSN ID
Thank you!

I have the same issue, FIFA 22 trial is still working, the NHL 22 Trial not, with still 4h 29min of time remaining and EA Play being active.

I see that NHL 22 has been re-added to the trial section of EA Play, however I do not see a download trial option on the game page. I deleted the game earlier to see if I could redownload it to fix the issue.

Was able to redownload the game through the PSN app and it still has the lock symbol around the EA Play icon.

Can you power cycle your console and try again? We're not seeing the lock in the store. You can also try going to playstation.com to push the download to your console.

Tried the power cycle and it didn't fix it. Also tried to restore licenses and that did not help either.
You won't be able to see a lock icon in the store because in the store there isn't even an option for the trial. The lock only appears when you've downloaded the game and are trying to play it but the lock signifies that we can't. I've attached some screenshots for clarity.
The first screenshot shows what the NHL 22 gamepage looks like after I already have the game downloaded (you won't see the lock icon here, it's only on the home screen when the game is highlighted, look at previous screenshots from myself and others to see the lock icon)
The second screenshot is the Madden gamepage after I've downloaded the trial, see how it says trial on the top as well as the ability to play the game?
The third screenshot shows the FIFA gamepage where I have not downloaded the trial. See how it gives the ability to download the trial?
While the NHL 22 game is back in the EA Play trial section, we are still prevented from playing it and others are still unable to download the trial. I'm assuming whoever is looking into is from your end has the full game for NHL 22 so they do not see what we see since they have the full game unlocked and we do not.

I have tried everything, restarting the console, redownloading the game. The issue remains the same.
Interesting is that I tried the trial on my PS4 and there it works. So it seems to be an issue only on PS5.

I’ve also tried everything suggested including a bunch from both EA supposed and Sony chat support. Still no fix. This sucks. A lot.

I am in the exact same situation. I have 5 hours and 50 minutes left, but there is a lock on the NHL 22 trial for some reason. FIFA and Madden trials both work fine. This is an issue with EA. I've been a subscriber to Origin Premier on PC, now EA Play Pro or whatever, for a very long time, and a sub to EA Play on console and I'd hate to have to end my subscription because of this.

I restored the database, I restored the license, nothing helps all the time the game can not run, you do not want to give us access to the full version if you can not fix it?

I’ve also done all these steps and still also have the lock icon on the game and nobody has any answers for this. It’s frustrating. From what I’ve heard from both sides of EA and Sony support, neither wants to take any responsibility in fixing it. I’ve been passed back and forth multiple times.

Any update to this?
I have over 8 hours still remaining on the free trial and it no longer allows me to play the trial on PS5. It has a padlock next to the EA play logo and it tells me to purchase the game to play it.

Hey, everyone. I don't have an update yet but will provide one as soon as I do.

My EA Play subscription runs out in a week and a half and then I’m completely out of being able to play the rest of my trial (if this ever gets fixed). What are the chances this will be resolved before then?!
