A quite easy way to solve this PC problem is to allow the use of the game on either Microsoft's Xcloud, or on Stadia. I've been waiting for this game on PC for years.
You don't find interest for it on PC because people are
A) tired of waiting
B) don't know where to contact EA
C) just silently waiting for the day
Obviously, there are fewer people on PC than on console but you're going to really shut off an entire market like that? And, a market that can definitely expand when a game comes out.
The excuse of focusing on things that need to be fixed in the game has been a constant excuse for years. It's annoying reading these forums with people asking for PC and it's always the same response from the community managers. We don't get to experience this game and it sucks as a hockey fan above all. I can at least experience MLB The Show with Microsoft's Cloud Gaming Service ON PC.
I understand Game Development is a lot of work. All we ask is a way to play your product in any way than having to buy a console to play a single game. I guess that's impossible in 2022.
Thanks,
Gerard
