I won a game and I'm a veteran 3 as a defenseman, and my stats were all A's and the thing to level up is a B+ and I can't level up it's getting frustrating.
IDontTeamwork is right. If you quit a lot of games it has a negative effect on your grades. For example, it's the 1st period and your human goalie has let in a couple of goals so you decide to quit. Your grades haven't built up much yet. You may have an A in position, B in teamplay and a D in stats (this would be a C+ if the goals were scored when you were shorthanded), but these will drop a letter grade if you quit. Changing your grades to B, C and F (or D). Too many of these has a very negative impact on your overall grade.
So, don't quit out if you go down a couple goals. Let the other guys on your team rage quit. You'll end up with a team full of AI players which actually do quite well against humans if you let them do their thing and not call for the puck all the time.
The way I have previously gotten my player to level up fast (without boosting) is by adhereing to a certain set of rules when joining OTP games.
- Never play with a human goalie on your side. If you can't find a game without a human goalie, at least make sure the other team has one too.
- Choose to play on the home team. I have always had better luck there. If you see the home team is full and there are 1 or 2 players on the visiting team, leave the lobby and find another game. This also helps avoid "teams" that play OTP together.
- With playing D you can really raise your templay score by hitting. I wouldn't go crazy on the hits because that is bad for your whole team in general, but hitting when you can will really help.
- Dump the puck on penalty kills.
- Don't call for passes that won't get to you and make sure your passes are going to reach their target.
I hope this helps. Good luck! Getting L3 takes a lot of work, but it's a huge weight off your shoulders when it's done 🙂 Can't wait to do it all over again in NHL 15!
They haven't released any info on EASHL players for NHL 15 yet. It is still possible they have done away with that system altogether. Hopefully they have. It would be nice to see one more like FIFA for upgrading your player.
Good luck!
