This year NHL 22 went to the Frostbite engine, so grabbing the code from a different engine may not be technically possible or compatible.
We unfortunately do not have any updates to share on the progress of this right now. From what we are aware of this is still task by the team as being reviewed and investigated. If the Community team receives any information we can share we'll update this post.
So Frostbite is the reason. They couldn’t figure out how it was done before so they just produce an unfinished game! Unfinished because it was never a complete game! If it was Three’s would save properly. It’s a save error how hard is it to fix!?
Frostbite should just refund everyone that doesn’t play stupid HUT!

Hut is their dumb gold mine. They could care less about the people that just want to play the game, not spend ridiculous amounts of money on a dumb gimmick

you are doing a great job with the replies btw!😳I really hope 2k gets back into NHL.. at least they could make a functional game and actually listened to their fan base. Unlike EA who can’t even be bothered to fix a broken game, or even communicate with the people who bought the broken game!

Feels like you’re just not going to fix the darn thing if it’s been on your radar (as far as this one thread shows) since JANUARY. I just want to be able to play with the HOF guys on threes online with my dad but it seems like this issue is just being ignored for a significant portion of this game’s life cycle. Be better please, this is a very fun game just let us use its features

Game loses my save data I see this same problem posted on here from lots of people just adding another to the pile in hopes it gets fixed
- @EA_Blueberry EA better shake their brain, Frosbite sucks! I had no issues with Ignite. Issues like Syncing, 3’s never saving progress, and recently It’s glitching when trying to skate back from the offensive zone! Like they’re skating against a wall sometimes, pushing in different directions barely helps!!!
I went back to 2021 and i think i stay there to at least 2023 🙂
- I am going to try get a refund, and same I’m going back to 21. Frostbite can take a hike!
- @EA_Aljo I was wondering if you could explain what’s the point in even pointing out these bugs/issues? This was point out essentially at launch and it was never rectified!
Does EA even care about customer satisfaction?
This has been an ongoing issue for months. Was there another channel these issue should be brought forward to in the future? Since I would hate to see another reoccurrence with nhl23. - EA_Aljo
We pass on bug reports to the dev team. Many issues have been resolved due to the community bringing them to our attention. I don't have an update on this particular issue though.

However can you understand this threads frustration regarding this matter? Since a part of the game was locked away from us.. it was noted at the beginning of the games life cycle. I could understand if it was something game breaking. However a simple sync issue couldn’t be resolved by the dev within the games life cycle.. why?
Or was it they prioritize portions of the game that build revenue? Such as HUT.. there was no shortage of changes and new additions to HUT.
I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone on this thread that EA needs to do better to address these issues - EA_Aljo
The syncing issue hasn't been an easy one to resolve for offline modes or it would have happened by now. I know it's incredibly frustrating and the dev team is well aware of it, but I don't have any updates on this.
The daily updates in HUT don't require code changes. Those are items that already exist in the mode that are just updated for special versions. All of HUT is essentially complete when the game launches so it's not getting new additions. It's getting new versions of items already in that mode.
- @EA_Aljo is there anyway to be sure this doesn’t happen again in nhl23? Since from our perspective EA neglects any bug fixes unless it costs them money. I bought nhl 22 for two consoles only to experience this same issue on both.. if this were to reoccur is there a department I could reach out to too elevate this?
I will not tolerate another broken game from EA that they refuse yo fix. An update addressing my concerns would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
