NHL22 back to 21

Welp... it was fun while it lasted. But the pressure from the cry baby twitch and Twitter heads have turned this game back to 21. EA seems to have slipped a tuner in which has nerfed defense completely. We are back to dancing all over the ice, pokes not connecting, hit bubbles on forwards and defense positioning not meaning a damn thing.

The goalies also seem dumbed down. The cheese goals are back in full force and every breakaway is now a goal again.

NHL22 from the 10hr trial through the middle of last week was damn near perfect from a game play perspective... now it's just back to being the same bs from the last 2 years. It's really a shame

    Hello, @SilentAssassn25

There were no gameplay changes at all. The update only addressed issues with syncing and disconnecting.

@EA_Aljo you guys and EA can say whatever you want... we, the community, DO NOT BELIEVE YOU. this game has vastly changed, and not for the better, over the last few days. the game play is nearly identical to 21. EA caved to the whining and crying from the twitch and twitter heads because they couldnt figure out how to win without exploiting the game mechanics. took the best NHL game we've had since 14 and threw it in the trash less than 2 weeks into release..

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. If there are any gameplay changes they will be detailed in patch notes.

@SilentAssassn25 i believe that players are simply adapting very quickly and also now have perks and way better builds than when the game lauched . and talking about that , game actualy sucked at lunch there was fps problems and desync all over the place , there still is too

This isn't about sync issues and bugs. This is about gameplay.

It has ABSOLUTELY changed since I last played a couple days ago. It's NHL 20 or 21 all over again

    Positioning means nothing.

Cross crease passes are back and overpowered.

    Goalie reactions are next-to-nothing again.

Cheese breakaway goals are back to 99% effective.

No more bumping players off the puck.

    Bouncing off puck carrier.

    Need I go on?

The game was "adjusted". Anyone who played it before the changes knows it.

Edit: Created a new topic addressing the situation that includes ideas and suggestions to solve the problems. Would love to hear some feedback there. Thanks!

We really need to get videos of the issues you're experiencing. Just saying cross-crease goals are back and overpowered doesn't show us if defenders aren't reacting or if the puck is clipping through skates/sticks. The same goes for the other issues you're reporting. Without something to reference, we can't determine if those are happening due to an issue with the game. Again, there have been no gameplay changes so it appears to be that people are adapting to the new gameplay of 22 and are leveling up their player/team.
