Offline player editing

Some options for editing players would simply make the game more enjoyable and realistic for offline players.

In edit player:

-enable us to edit height and weight for all the players, as they're not sometimes up to date, especially for young prospects.

-enable the possibility to change players' playstyle in franchise mode, as sometimes the stats simply would fit better for some othe playstyle than what the player currently has.

-enable us to modify the head, hair etc of the players who don't have a "star head" but a generic one, so that people could modify them to a more realistic one if they want to.

-a possibility to choose play-by-play-name *none* when creating a new player, as there might be no name options similar to the player name.

- can you please change the default setting for the player gear. Almost noone actually uses the current default blade tape style, while the style with a small toe is really common. And the sock tuck back is way more common than the full tuck irl.

Especially with the blade tape, it's actually noticeable in-game, and it would be better not noticing someone having the default gear.

One Non-roster-related thing: in franchise mode Edit strategies, adding a "use head coach's preferred tactics" -button would be useful, as people usually change coaches, but the tactics aren't updated

I think the changes mentioned could be provided quite easily in a patch.

Concluding with a positive feedback, the skating style modification brought in for this year is a great addition to add a bit more realism.

  • I agree with everything but especially this:

"a possibility to choose play-by-play-name *none* when creating a new player, as there might be no name options dimilat to the player name."

I just cannot understand why we don't have this option. Do EA think we like hearing the announcers refer to our created players with a completely different name than their actual one? It's ridiculous.

  • @Villito Pretty crazy that they took a step backwards this year by COMPLETELY taking away our ability to edit players.

Easier to take things away, than add them in I guess.

Still blows my mind how backwards they went this year.

It’d be nice to be able to edit the players.

Agree with it all and I would like to add one thing that I've been thinking about, and that is a quicker way to edit a players salary. It shouldn't be necessary to sit and hold a button for a minute or something just to reach a desired salary. I haven't timed it, but going to 7-8 million takes way too long. It's not a huge problem (unless you're editing many players...), but it still feels very outdated, and most games allow people to just put a number there with the keyboard now. Shouldn't be that complicated to change?

@Tobbish Totally agree, a really good addition, basically done differently in other ea sports games as well. It really takes way too long to modify the salaries this way. Been thinking the same many times but just forgot to include it in the list.

@Tobbish that is definitely needed for player salaries. I would even settle for a way to add/subtract a million at a time using the triggers or something like that.

  • @Beauts90 These are all good ideas, so I guess that means we will never see it implemented lol. Only broken things are added, or they remove features that were already in there
