ps4 cant connect to ea servers for online features

Whenever I start NHL 15 for my PS4 I get this error message:

Login error

Unable to connect to the EA servers at this time. In order to access the online features of this title, please verify that your network connection is working and you are signed in to your Sony Entertainment Network account or try again later. 

My connection is fine and I'm signed in to my PSN account so I don't know what the problem is. I want to update rosters and I can't because of this problem. Do I have to open the ports? Any help would be appreciated!
