Pulled 89 SCE Palat 12hours after SCE Getzlaf was announced by EA on Twitter

Now, the 89 SCE Palat was released on may 6th and removed on may 7th.

And I quote from EAsports.com : "Please note, the items will be taken down 24 hours after the last item goes out for the day." (https://www.easports.com/nhl/news/2015/hut-playoff-items)

Was seriously happy when I saw the color of the card sure I had pulled 98 SCE Getzlaf...but nope. Foole me at first look, not 98 but 89 SCE Palat.

Got EA to call me, the game advisor took my info, looked it up with an EA specialist, to get back to me with some weird answer that it was a Stanley cup Edition card and not a player of the game card like the Stanley cup edition player of the game 98 Getzlaf.

After a few minutes, it came that it was indeed a SCE Palat and the game advisor had got confused. I was put on hold quite a few times, and the game advisor ended up calling me back 5 hours later

Told me they looked up my transaction, and indeed I had gottent 89 SCE, but I was never suppose to have gotten 98 SCE Getzlaf. Instead, I should have gotten 90 SCE that was released 2 nights before. It was a glitch in the system that I got the 89 SCE Palat that was released May 6th. So they told me they changed it in my account to te 90.

Now the explanation they gave me is this. When EA releases a new card, the info is sent to PlayStation et their it might get queued. So their might be a delay between when EA annonces it on Twitter and when its available in packs on PlayStation.

That delay, like I said I got the 89 SCE Palat 12 hours, after 98 SCE Getzlaf was released. Take about a Delay, so if these cards are removed 24 hours after, well first by their logik, this means their could be a 12hours delay, and during that time, people spend money buying packs hoping to get lucky and pull the Stanley cup edition card that is advertise by EA, but they have no chance of pulling it. And after the 12hours when its their, well there is only 12 hours left before they remove it.

Yup, this makes a lot of sense.

Again, EA came over a Bug, the only Stanley Cup edition card that should have been released was Getzlaf, and nope for some reason 12 hours after Getzlaf was suppose to be in the game, I get another total random SCE card, and its not even the one from the day before, 90 Palat and still they come up with that excuse.

Everytime EA finds an excuse.

It doesn't take 5 hours, to look up a customer account, pull the latest transaction and find the card that was pulled, see its an 89 Palat which was released 16 days ago, and was removed 15 days ago. And the Stanley cup Edition card that should only appear in gold or special packs his the latest 98 Stanley cup edition Getzlaf.

It takes 15-20 at most. But sure, trying to find some sort of excuse to not admit its their fault it could take 5 hours. Its like buying a lottery ticket and they say hey only 3.5$ CAD for your chance to win a Ferrari, and instead you pull the winning ticket but they give you a Toyota Corolla, and say oh well sorry, we sent the memo to the dealship but there must have been a delay. Sorry for you lost, its not our fault.

How predictable from EA. Telling me to post here to get the issue resolve. of course nice one. you got me again

  • Why not just be happy you got a SCE card? Just because you got the 89, it doesn't mean you would have gotten the Getzlaf. First world problems...
