Why would this be an issue with the XBox if only in EA NHL 2019 I have this problem with the achievements?

Which setting in NHL 2019 controls if and how the achievements get displayed on the screen?

I had to do the rebooting a couple of times and I also removed all the notifications of any kind. After a few attempts I managed to get rid of it. The bug has something to do with the NHL game on an XBox platform not with the Xbox itself I'm sure...

Removing and reinstalling a game is rarely an option after someone played a certain game for several months in a row so I am puzzled whenever I see this kind of advice.

Try hitting the guide button and using LB to tab over to the Achievements icon. At the bottom, does it say, Turn achievement tracker off?

Attached is a screen shot of what is constantly overlayed on my screen as soon as I load the game, even when playing
