4 years agoEASHL received some of the biggest changes in years based on community feedback. It's an extremely popular mode and receives a lot of attention. What did you like better about NHL 15 over 22?

@EA_Aljo I really enjoyed nhl11-14 for eashl and club, I forget when the preset builds and attribute caps came in but that's when you started losing touch with a large portion of the community. I get the grind for legend 3 was way too much for the XP side of things for the average players time schedule so I'm not complaining on that front that we don't have to grind for XP anymore. Taking away the customisation and personal tweaking of all stats took a lot of the uniqueness out of the mode. Reintroducing that in a limited capacity is an improvement and step in the right direction. I would say give us the old boost system of 9 slots and let us unlock those as we level up instead of these x factors that most of them seem like a gimmick or useless anyways in all honesty, I only pick ones that make my shooting better as the rest seem so situational. None of the skating physic updates since 11 have really felt like much of an improvement or leap forward imo while the rest of our pros abilities have slowly been nerfed into the ground via attribute caps and tuner updates in that direction to make us feel like highschool level hockey players shooting and passing wise. I miss vision control actually making you follow the puck/puck carrier. I miss when you actually felt like an NHL caliber player in this mode and scoring was more prolific and dazzling as apposed to half the garbage that bounces its way into the net these days. Dekeing used to be an art and now you can hardly shoot the puck if you pick the one build capable of doing loose puck dekes successfully most of the time. Eashl used to feel like the base game as far as presets and tuner sliders go back in the day and now it feels like I'm out there playing with my real life ability instead of an NHL level player. I could actually live with 22 if it got a few decent tweaks for eashl in the right direction but in the long run I would say there's a lot to do before you guys ever come close to getting anywhere near what nhl11-14 provided as far as eashl is concerned.
