The problem is not the contracts, the problem is the reward packs that you get for completing collections or free packs that are worth nothing, can't do anything with them accept collect them or quick sell them for 0 coins. That is why it is so difficult to get ahead.

I've only bothered finishing 3 collections (Avalanche, Panthers, Hurricanes) because it's a total waste of time, effort, and coins to do so. The gold packs don't give anything worth squat - best player I've gotten from finishing those three was rated an 83 or 84 at best. This wouldn't even bother me considering all the money I've wasted on regular gold/deluxe/special edition packs has been for the most part wasted, too, as I've managed to grab THREE elite cards (spent probably $500 or close to it on this nonsense, like an idiot I kept believing I'd land something more than a few 83 players, a coach who I've had since I began, and some random item cards).
PLEASE, EA, you need to change the setup for this next year. What's the point in finishing collections when we can't at least sell off the * items/players we get? Ugh.
Why would they, you're doing what they want, spending money on useless packs. The people who put together stacked teams from top to bottom special cards are part of a network that trade back and forth with each other to circumvent the system to gain an advantage. Save your money and start building a network like this and you'll see how much easier it is to build your team.
