Re: Franchise mode ideas

@DeMiGoD1988 These are all great ideas my dude, but they are way too ambitious for EA. We can’t even have a FM with proper non buggy trade values, proper non buggy player development, proper coaching/chemistry etc, list goes on and on.

If this game was made by a different company.c maybe we’d see some more ambitious moves, and properly implemented features. But as it is, this is a great wish list. But I don’t see it going farther, as I’m pretty sure we are going to see FM take yet another step backwards next year, specifically because this is supposedly the direction they want to take FM and BAP.
Years of not listening to community feedback, and we continue to get ignored and left behind.

    @SkylerJames13 I know.. but even if they tried to add some of this stuff.. even 1/4 of it for me itll be pointing the mode in the right direction.

    @SkylerJames13 Also what company? I've seen give it back to 2k but look how they've handled WWE. The game is a mess and players have requested GM mode since they took it over from THQ and each year players are ignored. So yeah they're not any better.

    @DeMiGoD1988

    Thank you for the constructive feedback. It's very much appreciated and the best way to get your voice heard.

  • @DeMiGoD1988 At this point I’d take any company. But 2K has done a really good job with NBA I’m pretty sure. If they did that with NHL, it would completely blow EAs pathetic attempt at FM/BAP out of the water.

    They say they listen, because they have to say that. But if you track the versions over the past few years vs what we’ve been asking for, they do the literal bare minimum between games just to claim they worked on it. Every now and then they do a “rework/revamp” but it’s hardly ever done right. BAP is a prime example of it being done very poorly.
  • @EA_AljoI can speak on half of the NHL community. I hope it's heard so we can move this game in he right direction. We play this game all the time we know what the game needs and what way it needs to go.

  • @DeMiGoD1988 They have their own ideas of what the game needs to move “forward” (everything they think moves it forwards actually moves it backwards for us though, the actual customers)

    @SkylerJames13 As am I.. I'm talking about both modes. See as an Australian online modes for me aren't viable, there's no server close enough so I lag every game and subsequently I lag out. I'm left with offline only.

    @SkylerJames13 See I'm an anomaly. I don't sh*t on EA as much as others because the truth be told I play more EA titles then I do then any other Production/development company. Apart from NHL I play Apex legends, titanfall, Battlefield and on occasion I throw on sims. Not to forget need for speed series too.

    I didn’t think I would be the guy coming to EA’s defence this year, but here we are. I actually do think they do a pretty good job of listening to the community when it comes to additions to franchise each year. Major additions such as scouts, coaches, trade deadline and draft class quality were all widely requested and added the last few years. Minor additions like secondary positions, trade finder, trade value fluctuations, auto owner mode and player search were also added due to requests. With this series being a yearly release, it wouldn’t be easy to decide what exactly gets included especially because there are tons of different suggestions on what to do. I’ve seen numerous requests to make free agency just like the deadline and I think most of us here have no desire for that due to our dislike for the deadline. I lot of guys ask for more owner features, while a lot don’t want any time at all spent on anything related to acting as an owner. One day we will (hopefully) find the reasoning these additions are executed the way they are whether its lack of time, difficult programming or perhaps these additions are working exactly as envisioned. Regardless, I think most players agree that when they add something new it rarely results in being as good in the game as we thought it would be when asking for it. This causes many of us to want change to these features while instead the focus remains adding more of the community’s requests and leaving the older features untouched and unpolished for the most part.

    @DeMiGoD1988 I couldn't agree with you more. You are definitely on the same page as the rest of us here. More realism is exactly what is behind all of my requests for the mode each year and is the biggest reason I fell NHL 21 is such a disappointment and step in the wrong direction.

  • @Beauts90 That’s the thing, they make it arcadey and fast paced like online, which is the opposite of what we want. Realistic, is what we want. We want to see things similar to what’s happening in the real NHL.
  • @Beauts90 as an Australian EA NHL is the closest thing to the NHL as I get (And youtube) we don't even have our own league (AIHL) on tv. So NHL games are my go and have been since 07
