If you're letting someone get in that close to use the one hand tuck, that's some bad defense. Yes, the move is an easy one to pull off, but they also have to get past your defense. Just because you're having trouble defending, it doesn't mean that move shouldn't be possible.

I agree with you on menus. It would be great to skip a lot of them and just get right into a game. I believe your position is saved though when you go back to the lobby. You just need to ready up again.

That goal is not a glitch.

You can also stop taking so many penalties. It's pretty rare I see a penalty shot in Threes, but the guys I play with aren't diving after breakaways all game long either.

Every poke is not a penalty. Poke checking is my main defensive tool. Occasionally I take a penalty for it, but the very high majority of them are not causing penalties. You just need to be more disciplined with it. Manage the gap better from the front. You can also try using the DSS. It's a lot more forgiving. When poking from the side, make sure you have a clear path to the puck. Of course don't poke from behind. That's almost always going to be a penalty. Poking takes a lot more skill than it did in previous years. You can't just spam and get away with it now.

It's not a glitch. A glitch would be a bug in the game that allowed something to happen that was unintended. This is a legit way to score. Just stop giving up so many breakaways and letting the carrier get in close to your goalie. Play better defense and you'll see less of those goals go in.

You don't have to blow past the D if you are a Dangler or Sniper (ie fast) build - you just need to get to a spot where you are at even pace with them. Since you allow sticks to go through people it's actually quite easy to pull off, and since you're normally so close to everyone at this point it's very possible they will end up tripping you anyway.

In 3on3 hockey, it's not your fault at all if it's the cpu getting the penalties in EASHL and people in drop-in are... well there is no way to describe the decisions they make, that's what's so infuriating about the high percentage of these types of goals on the tendy

It's not technically a glitch, but it most certainly is a game-breaking goal because it's guaranteed to go in if you know where/how to initiate it...

While sticks can pass through bodies, they will also cause the puck to be knocked loose if they make contact with the puck before the stick passes through the body. Also, if the puck is loose, like it is on the one hand tuck, it still can deflect off a defender's skate. I get the ease of the move and how successful it is, but there are multiple things that have to happen. Defense isn't doing its part by breaking up the play. The carrier needs to get in close and time the move correctly. They have to have good positioning for it as well. So, in the end, it's not something that is truly a glitch or being abused. Just like short side wristers when people thought those were a glitch, you're giving them a good shot from a high percentage scoring area that can be defended.

As far as AI penalties go, the only thing I can recommend is to play with more humans. In the meantime anyway. I know the dev team is always looking at improving the AI players.

Easier said than done mate; There are indeed preventative measures but once they break i to the faceoff circles the defender's skates need to be in the exact perfect position to cause a block and not only will the attackers stick and puck be off center, but defensive awareness has no effect in this situation.

You say there are multiple things that need to happen to pull it off but neglect to consider how many factors need to perfectly align in order to defend this without getting a penalty.

This is just for regular situations too; the main problem which @WatkinsMRJ  and I are bummed about is penalty shots which definitely can be abused themselves

Recommending playing with more human players doesn't help at all. I understand the benefit, but again, not all teams/players have this luxury. CPU penalties would be a non issue if the shot clock or odd-man advantage ideas were implemented in my opinion.

Yes, it's easier said than done. I understand that. Again though, you're giving them the opportunity. Had better defense been played, they wouldn't have ended up in that position. This is a goal I rarely have scored against me. It's just not that often I give them that perfect scenario to make it happen. Granted, I'm not giving up penalty shots frequently because I don't really play Threes that often. That's a whole different issue.

I know just saying you should play with more humans is going to fix the problem. However, it's the best solution as most likely changes to penalties won't be made in NHL 20.

Typical say nothing answer about BaP. Why won't you just admit that you'll never work on it because you can't (or haven't figured out how to) monetize it after the initial purchase? Quit teasing players by making us think that it might eventually be a full fledged game mode instead of just a shell like it is now. 

Oh, and can you please, please, for the love of God do enough testing this year so that there aren't MASSIVE bugs that make the game horrible until you patch it sometime in December.

What bugs are you experiencing?

Would like to see the following changes:

Platforms: Release the game for PC

Game modes: Please make the Online Versus game mode better and user friendly.
Every time you choose to go back to the menu screen you have to do all the strategy’s for user team over and over again. Please make it possible to save strategy’s for user team.

Add a server for Online Versus gameplay. It’s 2020 and this game mode still use peer to peer connection, it’s shocking. EA is a multi-billion dollar company, to have a server for this game mode shouldn’t be a problem financially nor technical.

It's quite apparent that online versus is an afterthought for the last 3 years because you don't make any money off it like Hut or eashl and I get it, but can you please! Please! Please! Eliminate locking in while playing casual versus? It serves no purpose other than giving people an unfair advantage so the computer does all the work. I'm not asking for much EA, if people want to play locked in they have the EASHL, they don't need to be able to ruin the game for people like me who literally only play online versus. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! get rid of it.

There's no way to spend additional money in EASHL. You could in the previous generation, but that didn't get added back with the current generation that started with NHL 15. As far as player locking in OVP goes, I believe you can see this when you match up. Just back out and search again until you find someone that isn't player locking.

I’d like to see player progression like the old gen NHL games. Playing with these pre made classes aren’t any fun. Yeah sure you can add primary secondary skills and traits but it still does no justice to making the player you want to use all the time. My friends and I all personally miss player progression. Maybe they should take some notes from games like nba 2k, and your own fifa franchise and have your EASHL players rank up based on be a pro and online play. The game caters mainly to HUT now because it brings in a lot of money via packs and it’s very disappointing. All I am asking for is player progression , and GM connected. I know it was previously changed because “it wasn’t fair to the people who don’t play much” but who cares focus on the consumer who plays to better their player cause it is more rewarding.

That change wasn't made purely because it's unfair to the people that can't play as much. The idea was to create a more even playing field where skill sets you apart more than higher overall players.

There is nothing skill based about this game anymore though. It works in 2k it works in fifa. NHL is the only game with a horrible system. NHL 10-14 were way more enjoyable for EASHL Nhl 17 had the most creativity this franchise moves backward and when they “add” new improved skating system it’s minor you can hardly notice it. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad if you guys would bring back losing your edge so players can’t skate in circles unrealistically until they get around. Don’t hit me play better defense  cause we know how to play against it, it’s just repetitive and boring to play against cause you can’t knock them off the puck. Games broken. Some sort of player progression would make 90% of your consumers enjoy playing EASHL again as it is more rewarding and won’t get sick of playing it so fast cause it’s the same game every year now just with pointless updates
