Are you experiencing a situation where the player doesn't move and controller feels unresponsive? Exactly this is my problem.

Can you three provide me with this info:- Gamertag/PSN ID
- Platform you play on
- Mode(s) you're experiencing this in
- When did it start happening
- Are you using a standard controller that comes with the console or other model
We'll get these details up to the team. Thank you for flagging this down.
- @EA_Blueberry Kingsol97 is my gamer tag
- I play on the Xbox one S gears of war edition
- I noticed this around early December
- this has happened in practice mode, play now mode, and franchise mode.
- Ive used the standard Xbox controller that came with the console, a standard wireless Xbox controller black, and another standard Xbox night ops camo controller. All 3 have had the same issue occur. PSN ID is swiffi49
Platform PS4
Modes: HUT Squad Battles / Rivals / Hut Challanges and so on
Start was about two weeks ago
And my 2 standart sony ps4 controller and my snakebyte controller all the same problem
- @swiffi49 So glad to see my problem isn’t an isolated issue.

Season Mode and IIHF World Junior Tournament
First noticed it in the World Junior Tournament, probably late December/early January
Standard black controller that comes with the xbox.
I have this exact same problem it makes the game unplayable. I started to notice this on IIHF World Juniors game mode and now it happens on every game I play on NHL 22. I even bought a new controller because I thought it was the controllers fault but I later found out that it isnt. Hopefully you can fix this so I can play the game again.
Just played again. It now happens almost every time I get the puck. Had to quit game and took a loss. Will not play again until this is fixed.

Thank you for the details we were asking for to those that submitted it. We passed it over to the team and they've got it tracked for investigation.
If anyone comes across any workaround fixes on their end that have helped avoid this from happening please share if you can to help others. When we hear updates from the team on this bug we'll post it here. - EA_Blueberry4 years ago

Hey, all.
Got a question from the dev team. What controller schemes are you using?
Are you able to regain control if you move your right stick? - @EA_Blueberry I’m using the skill stick setting if that’s what you’re asking. I have not noticed moving the right skill stick nullifies the issue.
Yes, when I move my stick to the backhand the player starts to skate again but then in a few seconds the player stops again.
I am using skill stick settings.
When I push right stick to the right (lefties backhand/righties forehand) player can skate again)

Alerted the team and it's being looked at.
For those on Xbox:
Would you be able to visit this link to see how to recalibrate your controller to rule out stick drift?https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution
For those on PS4, an you try the troubleshooting below:

I'm not optimistic this will work but need to toss it out there in the event it could help any of you.
- PlaymakerParker4 years agoNew TravelerI resort to dumping the puck with L1+Right Stick or Right Stick just up for a snapshot. It sometimes helps get rid of the issue momentarily.
- @EA_Blueberry The controller is up to date and recalibrated. I also went into test mode and the controller was responsive. Still having the same problem. This is beginning to be frustrating.

I bet, makes you exposed and the game not playable when you can't control a skater.
The team is looking into this. In the meantime, I'm just doing little more poking on the possibilities of what this X-Factor can be.
I didn't ask before, but are any of you playing with an external hard drive linked up to the console or have anything else plugged into the USB slots for the console? - @EA_Blueberry No external hard drive or anything else plugged in to the console beside the power cord and the hdmi

Using the controller that came with my series S.
Played Forza with no issues at all. Also tried a different controller when playing NHL22 and no issues. I have nothing connected to the xbox other than power, ethernet and hdmi.
