Salary Cap?!?

Is there a way to turn off salary cap in franchise mode? every team is over the salary cap with the exception of my team and 2 others. it’s even to the point that some major stars are not on their ...

To my knowledge, you haven't been able to change cap during a season, but I'm only playing from 17, I took a long hiatus from gaming.
