re-signing players

anyone have any serious tips on how i can re-sign my players cuz the main ones are asking so much and i don't have the cap space or extension money to give them what they want so i keep losing the pl...

I never really had a problem with it, but I’ve heard from a few guys that contract demands are a problem in nhl 21, especially with morale off.

There are a couple of little cheats in this game that can be used. Players will usually sign a contract for 85% of their asking price if they are interested in staying with your team and always try to get young guys with good potential signed before the season, while signing older guys after the draft. I do wish you could make trades during the resign phase as I always make 3 groups of players to decide who I want to keep and who I would be willing to trade to keep my core together.

I do really hope they fix contract demands and negotiations for NHL 22 as I think it could use a lot more depth and realism.

thanks alot and i agree because i have given so many different opinions on what they should have in the next game like 'league office' to give out 'fines and suspensions IF a player gets ejected for a bad hit.....also can you tell me why my head coach's xp stats for like offense defense etc keeps going up even when those stats are rated an A+....Example: lets say offense xp stat is like 7001/7001 afterwards those numbers keep going up to like 7003/7003 and so on

    Sorry, I’m not sure. To be honest I thought once they got to A+ they would just max out and not go up anymore. I guess I have never really noticed that the numbers keep going up. I could see if it was 7003/7001 and that could tell you how much XP is going to go to the assistants at the end of the year.

      ya i thought it would max out myself and i thought that those extra xp's would just transfer to the other coaches after the season but THEN i looked at the other coaches and its happening there as well.... I tried to find out on my own via google but with no luck so thats why i came here but thanks for your help...
