Add another very disgruntled NHL fan to the list.
This is THE reason I buy the game. Embarassing not to have it included - sheer laziness in my opinion. Is "Basti" or someone from EA going to address this thread? This is obviously a pervasive issue.

Yes, registered too, just to be very disappointed about this missing functionality.
That's one big option we loved to play. We enjoyed it 2v1 or 2v2 online. Since PS4 version it was already a step back not playing online with 5 or 6 guys. That was really funny in the past, but only possible on PS3 system, as Sony has limitated the max Controller up to 4. Why, no one knows.
The QA department doesn't exist as well i think. The colours of the controllers are changed with the player colours, so if you look on your controller you have blue, but in the screen you have red. So strange and normally easy to avoid - Not a really good quality.
But that's EA, with Version 16 i presume they sell us this version with the biggest newest and best feature ever - Couch Op.
