@fizzmon you if it is before December 1st, the player can be signed and play that year. He would have an increased cap hit for the first year since he is due the full years contract in a shorter time span (if regular season has already started)
If it is after December 1st, the player cannot sign until July 1, where he is still an RFA
The player can agree to a contract with other teams (you can then either match (sign player) or decline (release player)), however offer sheets never happen from CPU teams, so you won't have to worry about this

- @johum2886 Thanks for the info here, really appreciate it. More formalities here, right now I don't have the cap space to sign him, if I make some moves to free up more, he then will suddenly be eligible to sign, that option will appear?
- @fizzmon cap space is not relevant to if a player is eligible to sign, just as long as the cap hit fits within your available spending cap you are good to go.
I don't remember where the player will be listed, either in Free Agency under RFA's (pretty sure it is this one) or as a member of your roster (contracts screen)- @johum2886 Thanks again, have a great one.
