@fizzmon cap space is not relevant to if a player is eligible to sign, just as long as the cap hit fits within your available spending cap you are good to go.

I don't remember where the player will be listed, either in Free Agency under RFA's (pretty sure it is this one) or as a member of your roster (contracts screen)
