Roster Sharing - Question

So does Roster Sharing mean that techically speaking come the 2023 season we could just find/download and use an updated roster instead of buying the new game?. Can you add custom created players to a sharable roster?, that way if a new player comes into the league they can be added too?. The roster sharing seems too good to be true, does it only apply do one game mode or something?. Or can we use the shared roster for our Be A Pro and other game-modes too as well....-..I'd be astonished if this is the case.

In theory so long as some saint out there using the same system as you is releasing updated rosters for NHL 22, you could go a long time without needing NHL 23 or 24.

That said, it would only apply to offline modes where you select the option to use the current roster rather than the default roster. I don’t think we can edit the ages of players already in the game, so that would end up being off the longer you go. Draft pick ownership would also end up being wildly inaccurate, since we can’t update that on our own as well.

  • @kyl_35 Damn is BAP one of those offline modes?, I know in the main menu I can select my active roster, and I believe that's what will be used for BAP. If I use a shared roster as my active roster would it then work for BAP?.

@OKyleRittenhouse I don’t really play BAP, but I’m pretty sure. If you edit your roster and then can use that edit in BAP, you should be able to use the shared roster.
  • @kyl_35 Hmmm, Be A Pro I think just goes off of your active roster, and does not ask you which you want to load/use sadly. But I'm thinking if you can set a shared roster as your active roster it could work. However I'm trying to confirm. Thanks either way.

Thanks for the responses; totally aware they aren't doing anything major or substantial. I guess my question is will there be *any* changes - even if minor.
Is there a deep dive trailer coming out or is that just for us to hope for?
