Share Play region error

Same here!  I’ve been in contact with both ea and ps support as they keep throwing me back and forth and blaming the other.  Extremely frustrated!  They had me restore licenses and then reinstall the game.  Then told me it was a console issue.  Problem being, we both have the game working properly on each system will features besides shareplay and this won’t work regardless of who is hosting.  Wizzeak!!!  Maybe has something to do with both having early access and then upgrading? Nonetheless it’s like someone hit a switch Saturday the 14th overnight

Sounds like us. I contacted EA and was told my friend had to open a ticket to troubleshoot from his end since he was the one getting the error message, but when he did, he was promptly told it's a PSN Share Play issue. So we waited till the next day, tried it again, then re-contacted PSN, as we had contacted them first, and they walked us through some steps that we'd already tried the first time that didn't work, then were told to contact EA again because Share Play was working otherwise, then also told by PSN to just wait it out and hope it starts working again.

I'm not happy you guys are having issues, but I'm kind of glad my friend and I aren't the only ones having an issue.

We both bought the deluxe early release version and yeah, like I said, it worked fine until Saturday, so I don't know what happened on Sunday.

From what little I've been able to find on the Internet about this, it's happened in years past with other games but seemed to be fixed mysteriously a few days later without any official word that I saw. But so far no luck on this end. We haven't tried yet today.

It’s extremely frustrating!  Please let us know if you figure it out and I’m not giving up yet either 

I don't care if it's an EA or Sony issue but this needs to be fixed!

Out of curiosity, how many days did it take for the issue to resolve itself? Because this was 2019, all I see is the month and year.

We've been having trouble since last Thursday, 6/2/22. So far I've had:

• a suggestion to contact Sony (I did)
• a reply to my tweet @EAHelp asking me to DM (I did, and no one responded)
• a robot DMing me on twitter more than 24 hours after my last DM suggesting that I post on AnswersHQ (see... this thread?)

I was very encouraged when Dora invited me to DM on twitter for support! Nothing soothes a player in need like the attention of a game developer employee. Unfortunately, Dora has not been able to respond and the auto-responder took over. 

If anyone has concrete suggestions to remedy this situation, I would be most grateful. Here's what we've tried on both ends of the Share Play:

1. Restoring Licenses on our Playstations
2. Restarting our modems and routers
3. Changing our DNS servers
4. Restarting our Playstations
5. Deleting and reinstalling NHL 20 (both of us have physical discs from which we reinstalled)
6. Clearing our cache
7. Logging out of Playstation Network accounts
8. Logging out of EA accounts
9. Both of us have tried initiating Share Play - it fails when NHL 20 is launched.
10. Launching other games, which all work via Share Play
11. Quitting said other games and starting NHL 20 after demonstrating that Share Play is working - this fails with the same error message.
12. Burning sage
13. Cleaning our NHL 20 discs
14. Prayer
15. Positive Visualization
16. Fasting
17. Binging
18. Talking to spouses and co-workers
