I get it. But honestly? This is just a good play on your part. And your AI forward that you follow in. He splits the D and forces them to retreat and switch. You follow in and take advantage of it.
It reminds me of what Gaudreau did to the Blackhawks the other night. Force the defenders to switch and sometimes they get confused.
Check out the guy that was initially covering the guy going to the net though. WTF is he doing? Just skates over to the boards for no reason.

I agree that the forward driving the net is a good hockey play and should create SOME extra space and time for the puck carrier, it just should not create AS MUCH space and time as it did in the clip. The AI should have realized way sooner - probably around when my guy got to the top of the circle - what was happening, and they should have attacked the puck carrier more aggressively. It is like their decision making is delayed all over the ice on defense.
