A couple more showing really bad AI and nonexistent pressure at the blueline, again on SUPERSTAR difficulty and FULL SIM sliders:
Two Defenceman stand still for a few seconds watching a hockey game while two forwards in position to make a play on the puck carrier stand in one spot while twitching.
FIVE players in position to make some sort of play on the puck carrier do absolutely nothing, allowing an easy zone entry when a dump in should have been forced about 99 times out of 100.
Its almost as if they AI worries way too much about covering passing lanes (often poorly) and forgets to actually attack the puck carrier.

100%, this. Almost any time I get the puck in the zone 5-on-5, I can get my d-man to skate in from the point down to the middle of the hashmarks (and sometime right to a deke at the crease) if I just beat the first guy pressuring him. It’s like its own little quasi-breakaway. The AI is lucky I suck on breakaways.
