What exactly are you having trouble with? You're being pretty vague. I'm not seeing glitch goals, but which ones are you talking about? Any shot can be blocked so if you're letting them shoot, that's on you for not defending better. How can't you play defense? Are you taking too many penalties? If so, stop poking and stick lifting from bad angles. It takes more skill now. You need to adapt instead of relying on the way poking used to work which was really unrealistic since you got away with way too much.
There are a few easy goals to score if you have rather nimble fingers but overall the game is in a pretty decent place, especially when it comes to poke checks.
Don't get me wrong, the game can still make you want to pull your hair out at times, but if you should have a much better time if you're willing to adapt
