I know this has been brought up in other discussions, but I thought I would bring some more attention to it by starting a new topic as there was no mention of this being a known issue in the latest patch notes. It does seem to be somewhat better since the patch, however it still needs to be looked at and adjusted. While I understand and even appreciate what they were trying to accomplish with values increasing or decreasing depending on stats, the values of certain players are just completely off. I like the fact that if a player is having a great season his trade value skyrockets because of it, but we are seeing trade values skyrocket for random players as well. Some of the trade offers and AI trade logic is terrible as well and yes I know that AI trade logic has been atrocious and has needed to be fixed for years but it is much worse this year. The trade deadline is a great add, but the amount of stupid trades is a little ridiculous. Teams having a down year are trading their top young players for scraps because their values are way down due to performance in that year.

@SkylerJames13 While I'm definitely not ready to throw it in the trash at all, there have been too many bugs to enjoy the mode. Most of that I will blame on the pandemic as I feel they have a good track record, although it is concerning that trading and trade values haven't even been commented on yet. They must be aware of it as I've even seen game changers comment about how bad it is. This for me is something that needs to be looked at right away so thanks @EA_Blueberry for responding.

@Beauts90 Kind of crazy that still hasn’t been addressed or even verbally noted by them yet. The trade logic is very broken and bad. It was a step in the right direction I suppose, just like FM changes and BAP changes were. They were just executed awfully and horrendously.A second and a third round pick for example shouldn’t have more value than say landeskog. Or two seconds.The trade value algorithm is just broken. I mistakenly bought the game thinking it would be new and fresh, but it’s far from that. Haven’t touched it since I tried playing BAP and I stole John Gibson starter job as a 73 ovr goalie. It’s just taking up space on my HDD since it released and has been unplayable since

@LordDecland that video pretty much sums it up and you're right, it's not playable until it is fixed. One other thing I have noticed is how the game only takes into account the current season and has no regard for previous or future seasons when making trades on deadline day. Team having an abnormal bad year? All of our best players must go!!! Team having an unexpected good year? Take our top prospect for an average rental player!!!
I don't mind having the classifications be what they are (buyer, seller, etc.) instead of champion, contender, hopeful and rebuilder as long as it would also factor in more things than just that seasons standings. Team rating, average age, past success and team depth charts should also play major factors.

Well have to wait till NHL 55 for them to patch that or any other bugs in Franchise or BAP. These guys are brutal.
