Community ManagerSquad Battles uses an online connection since it's HUT so it could be any number of reasons for disconnecting. We were having an issue last week, but I'm not aware of any currently. Since you're frequently disconnecting, we should go through some troubleshooting. First, are you on a wired or wireless connection?
@EA_Aljo Okay so imagine the same issue this guy is having but every single game for me. I even set a designated static IP address, opened ports for the IP to connect to EA and NHL better and still having the same issue. Its literally unplayable. I went through customer service with EA, my ISP and Xbox all useless.

What exactly is happening? Are you getting input lag? Is the game speeding up and slowing down? Are you disconnecting? Are you on a wired or wireless connection?
@EA_Aljo no lag no issues of any kind on NHL 18 or 19 just 20. Any game im in the middle of online i get disconnected. i have a wired connection and my internet is solid. Nothing else disconnects me

Try updating your DNS servers. From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know what happens.
