What are pucks used for in NHL 14?

Hey there man XP me if this helps. But the pucks are used for HUT the Hockey Ultimate Team. Its really a fantasy league where you create and build your own team. Its really fun but there are a lot of flause in that mode. you can spen pucks on buying players to add to your team. or buy EA packs of cards. I recommend buying packs only to get contracts, buy players your chances of getting high end players in packs are very slim but you do get lucky.
