What are you thoughts on farming?

This has become a huge debate on the fourms in NHL 14!! To farm or not to farm that is the question ( little bit of shakespear) for ya 🙂...... Farming is useful... your still playing the game just a more advanced method.... I would like to hear your replies and please leave some xp for the thread... I would love it!!!

Its kind of a cheating way and taking advangtage of EA flaws way of making pucks.  It has also grossly distrupted the market and the prices this year, making certain players near impossible to get unless you farm.   Because pucks when farming are almost endless people dont care about prices.   Players are almost 5-10x what they were last year at least on the PS3.

Example Dats was 250k last year, this year he is almost 2 million on PS3.  Malkin was 150k and now almost a million.   Some guys in the forum have over 50 million pucks its absolutely insane.

Agreed with everything he said. I've stopped playing recently because there is no way I can collect top players without farming, but I'm not going to lower my level to start farming, ruins the game for people who play it fairly and I'm not going to join in knowing that. I don't see why players need to try and find loopholes and cheats that ruin a perfectly good concept. By the end of the year it's just going to be a bunch of similar built teams playing each other because everyone who isn't farming has quit to play another game mode.

Don't forget to blame EA as well. They make it impossible to get pucks unless you do tournaments. 50 pucks for a EASHL game is ridiculous. At the last double point day I was able to manage to buy luongo for 6000 pucks then started inflating him to 9-10,000 pucks as he is now. I made some decent pucks then lost it all do to EA's featured packs which are a waste of time and never pay out for me. Plus giving people the option to pay for packs that don't pay out zilch is a scam!!!

Also when your playing a game and you some how lose connection and you lose and get a DFN which goes against your luck at any good packs is nonsense. This game does need to be cleaned up for next year putting a cap on players for they cant be sold for a million pucks.

I think players who farm are cheaters.

I think game developers who can't anticipate such problems are lazy or inept.
