Why can't I start any fights?

This is so annoying, I created an enforcer to just go around and fight and lay big hits and I set his fighting tendency to often. No matter what I did if I laid a huge hit on a star or even initiated a fight before a puck drop or after play stops nothing. I noticed on my 2 way forward I have created his fighting tendency is sometimes and he fights all the time. I then changed my pro all together and made the tendency sometimes and still nothing. I don't know if it is the game saying that enforcers, for some reason, can't fight or what. It must be a glitch someone please help.

    In almost all cases both players have to drop gloves, you can see who has in the top right of your screen. If your blokes like 6'6 and huge, chances are no ones gonna go with you

    I think its a bug . Somtimes it works other times it does nothing . The OP is talking about the start a fight which pops up . Like i said some times the start fight button does nothing

    Usually it's  because you only have a certain amount of fights you can have and you probably  used them all

    OR

    It's because the other player/opponent doesn't want to fight..

    That is the reason for NHL 20 (I assume that is what you were referring to). This post is originally from 2013 for an older NHL title so I'll be locking it down to avoid further necroposing. The NHL 20 boards can be found here.
