This is an important request.
Please list all attributes in game you want to be able to edit. If possible, list them with your highest requests first.

~Thanks for the communication on this. The best feedback to the dev team would be that we want the ability to edit everything possible.
~The customization and league management is what gives franchise mode replicability and substance. The more we can edit, the more we can do, the more we can play. Being able to change a player's position and "attributes" (the same exact as what is available in the main menu) are the 2 most important for franchise mode by a mile. Those are the core things 100%. Essentially, whatever is unlocked in the main menu should remain unlocked during franchise mode too. That would include contract as well. Handedness is unlocked but that leads me into
~Another very important point: They let you switch handedness, but not height and weight for some reason, even in the main menu. Part of the reason this topic is such a common feedback/complaint is because even the original edit player in the main menu is relatively very restrictive compared to every other sports game and even every other hockey game up until 2019. Being able to edit size (height/weight), name, and age is enabled in every sports game ever and they should all be available in the edit player menu.in EA NHL too. They were until recently too
~To even further this, roster sharing is damaged soooooo much by these restrictions in place on editing players. Not sure if the devs realize that locking those 3 features means that every custom/retro roster requires 650 CREATED PLAYERS and tons of player movement. While all people have do in every other sports game is simply edit current players into whoever they want. That's not possible with name, size, and age locked exclusively in the newer EA NHL games
~So to recap: Everything is most important and anything that wont break the game will truly help a lot. Position and attributes are the equal as the top 2 that shouldn't even be a question and i don't see why either couldn't be added. Contract is a huge quality of life help and would come as a close 2nd in importance. Handedness is a useless unlocked feature without them unlocking the ability to edit size, name, age in the main menu too. So it's almost the other part of the major request that people have to unlock name, size and age in the main menu to help with roster share. Separate from Franchise
~There are only 4 (yet essential) things they locked for franchise which is why i was a bit confused by the question of choosing an order but for franchise:
1a. Ratings (attributes/potential)
1b. Position
2. Contract
3. Please unlock name, age and size in the main menu (and franchise) 🙂
