Forum Discussion
Hey, NHL fans.
Want to give you an update on this request.
First, please visit the suggestion board, add XP to OP and replies you like, and other stuff you want to highlight. We're sending the team conversations that are taking place on the forums each week and frequently raising feedback to them in our internal channels. We created the suggestion board this year to highlight some popular requests seen on the forums to help provide more visibility around top features the community wants.

Secondly, to set proper expectations for the community and this request it's unclear this will be implemented for NHL 22 based off the current plans. Not all requests on these forums may make it into the game. It's a channel to discuss the game what we love and want to see improvements on, as well as areas of concern and frustration. It's clear this is important to the offline forum community and we'll keep championing for this request to make it onto the ice. If we hear of any developments on this you'll be in the know right away.
Thank you or your commitment to the EA NHL franchise.
Thanks for the communication on that. We appreciate you guys trying to connect the community to the dev team, regardless of how difficult communication with them seems to be. I'm not going to lie, i can truthfully say that i won't buy another NHL game until there's a clear change to offline player content. I really haven't played NHL 22 much bc of it and i know a LOT of people in the exact same boat. An updated roster and a couple of features that were removed, coming back to the game, isn't going to draw me and many others anymore. Requests like "offline edit player" are so basic, simple, and easy to change, yet there's no reason given nor effort made, to make the offline player's experience any better. Watching EA wreck Madden (to the point where current NFL players are publicly calling for NFL 2k) for the EXACT same reason of completely disregarding offline play, gives me little hope for the future. I'm also a battlefield player and watched EA literally nuke that series too. I appreciate the community managers here for the work they do in a tough environment bc i'm not sure there's a single, large EA franchise that isn't in an awful place
