why want NHL 2001 play on a 64 bit amd Processer?

I have had this Hockey Game for a long long time NHL 2001 yall put it out n it works just fine on my XP computer but that computer went down and is in the shop i got me a window 7 computer new 64 bit AMD Processor and it installed the game off my CD n it trys to load but goes back to my desktop this 62 bit runs 32 bit games so whats the deal with nhl 2001 running!!!!! n it would be nice to have a number toll free to call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and other people that has a window 7 64 bit said it should play but i don't know that's is why i looked for a ea number to call to ask but i'm leaving this
