Will NHL 21 Come Out For PC?

The NHL studio researches the viability of a PC port. I don't have any fine details on what determines whether or not it happens, but it mainly has come down to not enough interest. Yes, there are some threads from PC players wanting NHL to return, but it's not quite as high as it seems. If it were, most likely this would happen. Hockey is kind of a niche sport. It doesn't have the same popularity as Soccer or American Football. Hopefully, a PC release happens. I know it's something we'd all like to see happen, but it could also mean sacrificing work on the console version. Which is vastly more popular.

In my opinion, all the different ways people have been asking for a PC version are why there isn't one - you all need to consolidate your support into a single entity, otherwise they won't be able to get an accurate picture of how many unique users want it. Also, the most I've seen in a single petition was like 12,000 - you're gonna need wayyyyyyy more than that to make them budge.

Again, they only direct it better when the shot is coming from the left (tendy's right) - coming from the right side is just as easy, if not easier than previous years; I don't know how you haven't noticed it. Seeing as how there was a recent patch that made defensive awareness better, shot-blocking and interceptions did indeed need fixing afterall.

Here's the thing about forehand-backhand dekes - if a human goalie knows that's all you're going to do, he will act accordingly; cpu goalies get fooled like 90% of the time and don't learn, that's why they need tweaks.

This picture is for a different game under the EA umbrella but, and this is just my opinion, I don't think you can really blame economical struggle affecting quality for yearly titles that have a host of microtransactions when said MTX more than make up for it.

Can you tell me what you'd like to see change with OTP? As it is now, you can easily invite your friends to an OTP locker room to play together.

Sony and Microsoft said they were open to more cross-play opportunities and with new consoles on the horizon, you might just get what you're looking for.

I'd love to sharpen my stick on the Xbox crowd

Xbox has announced that their next console will be backwards compatible with all Xbox One games. There are many games that are backwards compatible with the current consoles as well. Regardless, I can understand why some people prefer PC over consoles. Hopefully, we'll see a way to play NHL games on PC at some point.

There's always a chance. We've never said there are permanent plans to only have the game on console. We'll just have to see what happens.

There isn't a fear of mods and custom updates. We have other games on PC where this isn't an issue. The reasons why there is no PC version currently has already been detailed at length here so I'm not going to repeat myself again. When it comes to mods and customizing though, you also have to be concerned with hacking. Personally, this is one of the main reasons I prefer console gaming. I know I'm not going up against people using things like aim bots and wall hacks. However, the customization and modding that can come from PC communities can be fantastic so I hate to miss out on all that, but I'd rather be playing against others limited to the same version of the game that I'm on.

I would love to see NHL on PC as well.

In ideal world, I would love to have cross-platform play between Xbox, PS and PC.

I own PS4 and PC, so I can play NHL on PS4. However I see some advantages playing NHL on PC.

I can compare it to FIFA. 

Playing FIFA on PC is much better because the menus are not lagging, I can play it on 144 FPS on 144 Hz monitor and it looks much better. I do not ever want to play FIFA on console when I have experienced playing it on PC. 

I guess it will be similar if NHL series would be back on PC.

I think it would be good if EA would have any kind of competition like they used to have till 2010. However I guess the market is too small for 2 companies developing ice hockey games.

I have played almost every single NHL game from EA since NHL 1994 and I think the current state of game is bit arcade but it is fun game to play which matters.

I appreciate the work the developers do on the game and we would love to see NHL being back on PC.

The best NHL game on PC for me was definately 2004, that is why people still keep updating it.

Btw. there is actually one hockey game being developed for PC by DJ NEO who is passionate hockey fan. He is developing NHL game called NHL 2KHS using NHL 2K11 but this game needs really powerful PC and then he is doing lite version which is improved NHL 2K3. It is amazing what single person can do with those two games and I am not afraid to say, that his games will be better than EA NHL series once he finishes it.

I agree 100% why shouldn't we be able to? Because Fifa is what it seems like more worth than NHL. Simple answer is they do not care about the players and just about the sales. Fifa is more popular then nhl I guess. The Fifa player base deserves it on pc and us NHL fans get a slap in the face.

Make a PC only version you mean? If they can't see value in combining one with thr console releases, there's no way they'd make a standalone game.
