(Workaround Here) Freezing When Entering World of Chel

But why should we have to do this? We are months and months into the game, and now, all of the sudden, can’t connect to anything? Change rosters to active rosters? Like my roster has been on Nov 4 or whatever for months with no auto update? But it worked the whole time until this week? And instead of acknowledging that the servers are broken, we have to do some weird work around to be able to connect online? We are MONTHS into the release of this game. This is unacceptable. I share everyone’s frustration with the servers, the wonky game mechanic glitches that seem to be a problem EVERY year (even though the engine changed, same problems), the stupid meta builds that are unstoppable and cheese. Why can’t EA just release a game that works? Why the rush for this IIHF womens deal when the goalies don’t even have masks, how comical dude. Just fix the game, fix the servers. This is so frustrating. 

Unfortunately this won't fix anything. Game has frozen 6 times in a row now after updating to the latest roster. Still broken! ............make that 7 times, froze again while typing this!

Which platform do you play on? When it freezes are you brought back to the main menu for the console?

I play on Xbox series x. Sometimes I get past the yellow screen, but then the next screen just gets stuck until I get the "unable to advance" notification.

Can you let me know if power cycling the console fixes it for you. If not, can you try clearing the saved data another player suggested?

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

1. Plug the console power cable back in.
2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

I have done the power cycle, and the saved data several times. Along with deleting and re installing the game, resetting my router numerous times, and now the roster update. Unfortunately at this point I am left feeling as if this issue is on EA's end. Not sure what changed over this last week, but the game is broken. I attempted to play 35 times today, and was only able to get into 1 game. Unfortunately the game lost connection 2 seconds after the face-off. At least it recorded as a win. Please fix this issue.

You have some patience haha! After 5 tries I quit. There has got to be a way to get a refund right? Because this is ridiculous
