[Workaround] Nhl14 alternate jersey code

This happens every year to the teams that are late in getting their new Home/Away jerseys revealed, and the fix is always the same workaround.  Would it be a bad thing if this was stickied somewhere so people wouldn't get bent out of shape about it?

It's unfortunate, but EA's hands are tied. They're contractually bound to not release the jerseys before they're officially unveiled. And since the code unlocks every jersey, that means that they can't even allow us access to the jerseys that have already been released.

I'm actually surprised that the NHL (and the Calgary Flames, in this case) allows EA Sports to have access to this sort of stuff before it's publicly announced. But I guess having licenses, contracts and non-disclosure agreements (which, I assume, include huge penalties for breaching the conditions) is what makes that possible.

I thought the same thing, if you are playing against a team that has a question mark jersey as their choice, you have to go to that side and change their jersey to a normal one, until the code is realeased to unlock.

Still doesn't work for me at all when I want to play in any mode as the Stars, and they've already released the new jerseys!!! It won't even let me use any of the old Stars jerseys either. So basically I can't play in any mode except for HUT where I have to change to another team's jersey... Awesome (sarcasm). I preordered the game and only have access to play in HUT mode as my favorite team. Get it together there guys!

stealth022 has the best explanation of the situation.  Reebok, the company who makes all of the official jerseys of the NHL, has a schedule for when they announce new jerseys for the upcoming season.  The only remaining jersey not annouced is Calgary's new alternate jersey.  If the Flames follow the trends of other teams, they will be introducing a white version of the red alternates the game has unlocked.  That way, next year they can convert their alternates, which are essentially modernized throwbacks of the 1989 Stanley Cup team, to their home and away jerseys.  The current date is set as TBD (To Be Determined), but the NHL has rarely released jerseys later than within the first couple weeks of the season.  There are still last year's jerseys to choose from now.  EA is not blocking or preventing anyone from being the Flames.  Be patient and it will come

Will not be released until all the teams have revealed their new jerseys, still waiting for Calgary last I checked.  Even then I wouldn't expect to see a code until offical retail release.
