Playing BAP in my second year and I was given The Journey Begins Pt. 2, which rewards a couple X-Factors if I attempt 30 wrist shots, 30 slap shots, 50 one-timers, and get 50 points. The wrist shots count towards the total extremely unreliably and randomly. The slap shots and one-timers are counting fine, but the wrist shots are barely ever counting.
I spent 20 minutes in the practice mode just practicing doing the wrist shot correctly, and even in one game, I set the difficulty to rookie (I normally play on pro) and spent the entire game just taking wrist shots. I took between 10 and 20, which came with the green XP notifier above my player saying that I had taken a wrist shot, scored once, and only one wrist shot was added to my count when I checked the X-Factor abilities progress tracker. In my last game I scored, with the XP notifier actually saying it was a wrist shot goal, but it didn't count towards my count.
Hi there, @EJCirkus681
Wrist shots are actually not the easiest. They normally register is snapshots. One way to make them count is to be facing the opposite direction and then press up to shoot. So, if your opponent's zone is up, you face your net (down) and press up on the stick to shoot. That normally registers as a wrist shot. It also works pretty well when coming around from the back of the net and shooting. Not a wrap-around, but just a regular shot.
