Xbox Series X quick resume never works

Hello so every time I get off I always am in the chel lobby and the new Xbox series x has quick resume. Meaning I should be able to just turn on my Xbox and click on nhl 21 and be right back where it left off.. every single time it try’s to take me to the chel lobby but the error for connection to ea servers was lost comes up and I have to the Home Screen and close the game completely and then load it back up for it to work at all. And then it will work. It’s annoying for sure. Hopefully someone can help. Thx

    Hi there, @bdrex34 

    I've noticed this happens with any game that requires an online connection. When you shut down your console, the connection is lost. Even with quick resume. When this happens, you'll be sent back to the main menu.

    Yeah, not really an issue, that’s just servers kicking you out, nothing really going wrong, and not fixable at the minute, but something may change

    The servers aren't kicking you out. When you turn your console off, the connection is lost. If you were playing an offline mode that didn't require an online connection, Quick Resume would probably work. For online modes, the connection needs to be established first. This is why Quick Resume isn't working.

    @EA_Aljo Nope, even offline modes mess up. I have tried a few times just stopping in the middle of a single player season mode game, and coming back later. It should resume right where I left off, but I always get a "profile change" error that kicks me back to the main menu. It's ridiculous and makes quick resume pointless for a game like this. The Switch handles these things perfectly. I can be in the middle is a super mega baseball game and stop and start as much as I want with no issues. But all EA games can't handle it.

    Thanks for letting me know. If you disconnect your console from the internet, then play so that you're completely offline, will it still happen when quick resuming?

    The biggest issue is you cannot reconnect from the main menu. After this you MUST reboot the game to be able to connect. If I could just reconnect from the Madden 23 main menu I'd be fine, but it never successfully reconnects without a reboot. I don't experience this in PGA where it always reconnects following quick resume.  Seems like a madden issue.  Relaunching the game everytime would not be annoying it quick resume weren't so fantastic.  It's changed things lol.

    I've been able to reconnect if I give it a about 30 seconds after loading back to the main menu. Sometimes, I'll go in to another screen first. Settings is a good one. Then, going back to the main menu and trying to connect to an online mode works.
