Im trying to change my name to what i always use now but it wont let me it keeps saying this ID contains a prohibted word or charter pls help
i would love to know y Xxscu11slayerxX is a prohbited word or charecter this is my user i use for every game i play
this is just my old account and would like to change it to that
I cannot change my Origin ID anymore it wont allow me to roll back to previous names it doesnt not say name already registered it just says it contains a prohibited Character when i know for a fact it does not. Please Help Me EA
OK how is everything I choose taken already. I severely doubt someone has gone and translated Spider from English to Bangla (Whatever Language that is?) and that is taken??? Makarasa is what I am trying to set it to but WHO TOOK THAT. After a solid 30 minutes of trying different Norse gods and translating words EVERY SINGLE NAME IS TAKEN. This can't be right and can some please check to see if it REALLY has been taken already, If yes for Makarasa, how about Punawelewele, Areneo, and Kablaugsab. All I can not get and I find it hard to believe that some has taken any of those.

I know, this is a shame that EA or someone else never addressed this problem, but i recently got the same issues when i'm trying to change my username and this problem keep showing up every single time. I've been trying to use Number/Caps/Dash/Underscore, none of them does work. And, for some reason, i've been thinking...
Is this problem only shows up when you change your first username ? And you just can't change them for the second time ?
And if yes, then WHY DON'T YOU JUST SAY IT ON THE SETTINGS where the input textbox shown ?
For example, why don't you just put the warning, such as "The Username Can Only Be Renamed Once" or something ? Come on, you gotta be kidding me if this is the really problem.
Anyway, I WANT ANSWERS, not a link redirecting to endless thread that had the same problem, saying it was already solved, but it does not yet.

No, this doesn't happen when first changing your ID. I've changed mine multiple times without an issue up until the past few days, where everything is either "taken" or "contains a prohibited word or character". Seems like this is an Origin problem.

Ok so I change my name a lot and I recently changed it to mickiemoose1234 but now I want to change it back to FLUFFYDYNAMITE9 but it just says "ID contains a prohibited word or character"
and if I try to change it to anything else it says the same thing! Please help!! I'll leave a screenshot

I can't change my GAME ID into TheLastZorro01 or TheLastWarior001. It says "ID contains a forbidden word or sign". My game ID is now PhilippeGoebbels01 -,-'
Have you tried with other nicknames?

If you can't change your Origin ID (Name), then this is a known issue. It should be fixed soon.

So i was trying to change my username to a bit simpler name. When i went to change somebody had already used so i added a number or two. I kept being told that my username contains a prohibited word or character. I still cannot understand because there was not any inappropriate words or special characters. I simply added two numbers. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thank You.
I see that a lot of them are going through this with the ID change, as it happens to me and that just yesterday I registered a new account of Origin and when I want to put an ID (New) tells me that it is already in use I try to put something at random and It says "ID contains a forbidden word or character" and without being able to do anything try with numbers and letters, combinations of low bar gions and even if nothing has been achieved. Please EA something agan on this subject since many users present this problem, I know that there are many registered users but put something at random and say is already in use, that is outrageous.
