Origin Causing Macbook to Restart
I have been successfully using origin to play the sims 4 on my 2016 Macbook since a few days ago. Upon opening origin my keypad becomes stiff and the macbook restarts, stating "your macbook restarted because of a problem". Occasionally I am able to get into the sims 4 although this issue follows within minutes. Rarely instead of completely restarting I get a message stating "origin has encountered a serious problem and must close". Starting my macbook in safe boot, when attempting to open the sims 4 I am met with "unable to start: Can't run the sims 4 with the video card in this system". This is confusing as video cards are automatically updated on the macbook and I have never had an issue previous to this.
The reason I believe this is an origin issue and not my macbook is because:
- There are no hardware issues as i have run Apple Hardware test
- I was successfully playing on the macbook the same day the issue started
- I have gone as far as to wipe the entire macbook to factory settings
- The issue only happens with attempting to access origin and the sims 4, never any other applications.
I have attempted to "repair game" as suggested by other users, this is not possible as origin causes my macbook to restart before I am able to press the button, if i am able to press it, it crashes before this can be completed.

Ouch! Something must be going seriously wrong if your Mac is kernel panicking. If it were Origin then we would all be suffering from it on our Macs.
Try resetting the NVRAM and SMC and see if that helps - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204063 and https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201295
