4 years agoHey @FettenDiddi @MrMolchy, I have moved your thread to a more appropriate board for this issue, the Origin board. 🙂
It's unfortunate to hear that you're having these issues.
What are the troubleshooting steps that you've tried already to try to fix the issues, if any?

Having both Origin and EA Desktop installed (the later one because of the Xbox Gamepass), these installations seem to mess up each other.
EA Desktop seems to bring some services with it that are running already at Windows start-up, preventing Origin from starting BF1 successfully most of the times.
Doesn't matter, EA Desktop Beta "workaround" works.
Don't know about problems with BF2042, i can't play that anymore anyway, and I don't care about that one at alle anymore.

@FettenDiddi, so for you only launching the game via EA Desktop works, right?- 4 years ago@EA_Leeuw
It's totally unpredictable.
Yesterday, it worked from Origin.
Today, it's greyed-out right after system start in Origin.
When I did start anything else (EA Desktop, other Origin-based games) it won't work, that's 100% predictable then (greyed-out immediately or after first try).
Problems started some months ago, never happened before BF2042 was "launched".
And yes, no problem so far using the EA Desktop to start-up BF1, but this is still a beta and features are missing/non-working, especially trying to join friends what almost never works in-game in BF1 or BFV ("game session doesn't exist", but that's another issue that was never fixed, we just get used to it...)- EA_Leeuw4 years ago
