Origin won't install on windows 11

Origin thin setup will not install on windows 11.

    Hey @IchiMochi2260 can you try installing the most up-to-date version of VC++ to see if it helps.

     

    You can find the latest version on the Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

     

    You need to install both of the following:

    • vcredist_x86_vs2015 (for 32bit Windows version)
    • vcredist_x64_vs2015 (for 64bit Windows version)

    If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

    You are my hero right now. Boyfriend just got made my first gaming PC and I couldn't get the Sims4 to run for anything. I had only downloaded the x64 and kept getting the same error messages as OP. Downloading the x86 did the trick, goodbye free time, I have a game to play.

    I had the same error messages that the other person had and when I tried to install the latest version an error message popped up that said "Cannot create the file 'C:\Windows\system32\vcruntime140.dll' , A directory with this name already exists. Cancel the install and try installing to a different location." Whenever I would press retry the same error message popped up. What do I do now?

        It says "0x80070652 - Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install" It says that despite the fact I had closed out of the other installation

    That * (EA App) can't be uninstalled!!!
