@EA_Darko Thanks for the quick response. I didnt cancel an update unless it tried to auto update and cancelled itself. And why would cancelling an update uninstall the game?

I can't comment on how the Xbox works @Caesar2907 but from personal experience, if you cancel an update for a game on the Xbox One then said game will be uninstalled.
Darko I've played the game yesterday morning. At the end of my afternoon I went to Steam and it says it is not installed. It prompts me to install it again. 54 gb
But before that, my game/desktop had frozen and I had to press my case's power button. Obviously, it may have caused something but I've been doing that a few times in the last weeks because freezing/crash when ALT+TABing has become more likely (for me) in Season 8.The loading times at the beggining too has increased.
The Apex Legends folder does exist in SteamApps though.
Found a solution (only for steam): Click install and make sure it installs to the same drive as it was in before. It will find and revalidate the files and no download was necessary.
