I /literally/ had this same issue.
I refuse to do any more Windows Updates until I do a clean re-install of Windows 8.1 64bit someday (no Windows 10 as long as I can\live).
What fixed it for me:
I had Origin installed before but decided to do a clean install bc BF5 did not want to download the last update.
Deleted ALL Origin related items, RegEdit, in my C: (ProgramData, AppData, etc) aka deleting cache\whatnot
Did a Windows wide "clean" (BleachBit since CCleaner is spyware at this point)
Rebooted
Updated Java << HIGHLY rec this. Was in another "solution" blurb in a similar thread. I did this and the step below.
Used the OLD OriginThinSetup.exe
OLD ORIGIN CLIENT HERE: https://www.dm.origin.com/download/legacy
*NOTE: Make sure it's OriginThinSetup.exe, not ... ⚽.exe, etc. Make sure to delete any old Origin installers, and have it be the default filename it was downloading as.
BAM! Installed, updated Origin afterwards, now I'm having to redownload 50GB of BF5 though (oof), but I'm glad it's working!
I hope this works!!!
Took me about an hour of headaches and 2 coffees.
Ok, I did all that but Origin seems to keep doing this whenever I start to install it. (I even uninstalled it when it was installing to try to fix the problem but it still didn't work) How do I fix this problem too?

Could you share a larger version of the image or even an image of just the error message as it is difficult to read the error message that you are seeing?
