Yes @EA_Darko , they can see me normally, because they invite me to play games from time to time. But I cannot see them.

Sometimes it even throws me off when they invite me, because I receive notifications of a "party invite from a friend," and some of them I even forgot I've added as a friend, because I don't see them on my Friends list. But then I remember of this problem...

Only players with special characters I'm unable to see, the others I can see normally without a problem.

Actually a few days back, it happens that I have formatted my PC, reinstalled Windows, reinstalled Origin and Apex and the problem still persists.

So I really believe there's some issue with Origin on displaying players with special characters. Even if I do a search on Origin all over the community for players with SC, none will show up.

So I believe the case is:

Origin doesn't allow creation of nicknames with SC, Steam probably does, so when Origin tries to pull the information about your friends, Steam friends data cannot be read, because initially the function to 'get Friends list' was probably written to gather only player names in UTF-8 (Solely focused on Origin). But now that Steam was merged, this function should've been updated to get all players, including players with SC to target Steam. But because it hasn't been updated it cannot read the SC usernames, so it treats them as null, thus not displaying any information, meaning not showing them on the friends list.

I would notify this as a bug report. But when I was trying to create the post as a bug report, the only option was to post it here :\
