Re: EA Play is not available for Mac - How to download The Sims 4 and DLC

Ah, i get what you’re saying.

Yes, but you can get access to and purchase the ea subscription content and then download/play it via steam/origin on Mac. I know this works as i have a second dlc pack i got through the ea play subscription that i was able to install and play fine. & even if i wasn’t able to install it because of incompatible operating system, it should still be ‘owned’ by me through the subscription service itself.  So i think that’s where the issue lies.

I’ve reached out to support but thank you for your replies.

  • @NAC05  I've noticed that on my Mac, I have access to the Sims 4 packs previously but no longer included in EA Play Pro.  I think this is because of some janky workaround applied to make sure people didn't lose access to the content but that new subscribers wouldn't have it.  I don't know for sure; I just know that Dine Out and Kids' Room Stuff are handled differently than the others.  I haven't checked Toddler Stuff.

Still, the way it's supposed to work is what I've described, and EA community managers have previously confirmed that Get to Work shouldn't be available in macOS to people with subscriptions.

@Tomtrain705  I've merged your post with another thread about this issue.  Please see my previous posts.
