Ok Ive got the reason today for anyone having the same issues. It seems that you can now only have one Ea Account linked to one username. So If you play on xbox and playstation you seemingly need to have two different EA accounts, one for each system Ive been told.
I game on 4 systems so Im supposed to create 4 accounts? seems a bit much to be honest and Im probably not going to do that.
But its an answer at least.
My only concern now is can I link my amazon Prime to 2 EA accounts. Im going to guess not ☹️
Community ManagerHey @o0Bresy0o you can link your Xbox and PSN accounts to the same EA account.
We recommend that you not link multiple of each as that can result in issues popping up but I have both my Xbox and PSN accounts linked to the one EA account.

Hi sorry about this , yes thats what I thought as I did have my old psn linked and unlinked it to add the new one which started all this. But I have just been told what I said above. If I can find the chat I could post it here. Im being told that is no longer possible as I have an xbox profile with same ea account.

And one EA Account can be linked with one persona. Like if you unlink the old persona and want to link another console with the same EA Email, it is not possible now.
I have the same problem with linking an account did you ever get a fix?
