Hi, just tried to reinstall after deleting the old install. Ran the program as admin and it finished but then popped the same error again.

@gibletsmasherIn that case then, can you please try the following steps:
- Manually uninstall Origin
- Run CCleaner
- Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot
- Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify
- Download the latest version of Origin and install the client
- Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports
- When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator
Hi, Tried all of that, task manager became unresponsive a whole bunch of times but got the clean install up. Downloaded origin from the link, cannot find it to add to an exception rule for the firewall, ran it as admin and errored again. Still can't find it on an exception list for the firewall.
About to give up, should it really be this hard?- EA_Darko7 years ago

@gibletsmasher Disable your firewall entirely and then try it again. Is your system freezing when you are going through the steps?
yeah, its becoming unresponsive and hanging even task manager
Will try again today at some point. I only use windows defender and spybot. I'll uninstall spybot to be on the safe side and disable defender too.
Is this trouble I'm going through unheard of? or has this occured before.?- EA_Darko7 years ago

@gibletsmasher The issues point to a system issue rather than one with the game. Are you seeing issue with other apps or games?
This issue arose for me after installing my development environment. Something in Bot Framework and company is a newer version of the MSCV140.dll so trying to install the C++ redist throws an error saying there is already a newer version installed.
For some reason I feel like gamers should be allowed to write code but maybe I'm mistaken.
Please help. I don't want to ruin either environment.
When I run the VS C++ 2010 redist I get this

@Stewart_Gilligan Sadly MS did not learn to make a cumulative VC redist installer. To be able to install the older VC redist, you have to uninstall first the newer ones (Control Panel, program and features).
I have every VC redist installed, as i play older games and some of the newer games do not use the latest redist. So i have all the VC redist in both x86 and x64 variants : VC Redist 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017. I also have Direct X 9.0c, DirectX 11, all the .Net Framework (for the ones up to 3.5 you have to enable the Win 10 legacy components). All those are allowing me to have less headaches. Most of the stuff can be found on the MS site, still available for download. That's interesting. Are you also running a development environment? I wonder if my problem was having the .NET Core itself installed. i didn't take the time to uninstall one at a time and try origin, I just nuked it all. I'll step through it (forward) now that I have BF4 working again 🙂
Thanks for helping out I appreciate it.
Actually my firend had the same problem and i just sent him mine dll files and he put it in the C:/windows/syswow64 folder and it worked.
it has a EA mark behind it, so i geuss it means it has to do with the game itself. i cant find the file where i have to put the new files in, can you show me how to replace the file wih a 32 file?

That error points to an issue with your VC++ @Sterrevdniet2007 so please try installing it from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
Let me know how you get on.
Darko Hi,
Not sure if anyone is still getting this issue, i just got it when trying to launch FIFA 19.
Tried lots of steps in previous posts which came to no avail, i even repaired the VC++ as suggested on previous posts but nothing.
I restarted my computer incase it was something registry related (after the new changes) and upon restarting and starting up Origin i got the same error messages.
The fix for me was uninstalling every VC++ redistributable (not sure the exact name, but those with the issue will know what i am referring to) and then reinstalling the Origin client - which was bundled with versions of VC++.
I've been playing for the last hour or so, have restarted numerous times to make sure it wasn't just a hiccup and i seem to be okay.
Credit to those who suggested the VC++ route as if that wasn't mentioned i wouln't have entertained the thought so thank you 🙂

"The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." so I click ok. Then a second message pop up saying "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." please help me I literally just purchased city living and get famous. Please tell me how to fix this annoying problem.

Hey @Cypher_Rl, you will need to download the two VC++ files that I linked earlier in this thread.
