Re: No discount for Burnout Paradise Remastered, but I own the original?

From what I've gathered, if you own any version of the original game, you can get this version at the discount. Once you get this remastered version, you have access to 100% of the DLC content at no extra charge (I also have it on PS4 so I know from experience). I don't think you should need an Origin Access account, I just happen to have one, but that shouldn't make any difference at all. I think that only applies if you download the game through an Access subscription, in which it would indeed disable access to the game once cancelling the service (just like with any Origin Access redeemed game), but if you buy it, it's of course yours forever.

    @EXE_Fake

    1. You do not need origin Access if you buy the game.

    2. All the DLC's will be present in the Remastered version, so you won't have to buy anything else than the game

    3. If you own the original game in Origin, you can get a discount for the remaster

    4. If you own the original game in Steam, you can bring it in the Origin client by registering the CD-key in the Origin client, thing that will bring up the discount in the Origin store

    5. The Steam version of the original game will not offer a discount. The game needs to be registered in the Origin client.

    6. The remastered version will not be available in Steam.

    7. If you are using Origin Access you will lose access to the games when you cancel the subscription, but your saves will be kept. If you buy the game or renew the subscription, you should be able to pick up from where you left

    Hopefully, myself and @hoyholyhoy covered everything. If there is anything else, give us a shout.

    Thank you both, you and @hoyholyhoy, for explaining everything. ...Now, please excuse me while I plot a course to buy the remaster. This will help with everything, thank you so much!
